Website for Thinglink.  It would be very cool if each student could put in a "thinglink" for an element and then have them all together displayed as the periodic table. 



Pairing Up Students

While checking some of my tweets, I came across a link to an article about pairing up high school students with elementary students.  I have done something similar to this where my students made science related books and then read them to  elementary students.  This article talks about getting the elementary and high school students paired up outside to learn biology. 
I like this idea because we have an elementary school within walking distance.  I also like this idea becasue technology can be helpful. Instead of using field guides to identify living things the students take pictures to look at a key later (or use ipads for field notes).  I am also thinking the students could share how their school environment looks and compare with other schools across the world via internet. There would be so much they could learn.

TRRC

Tonight is the meeting for the TRRC.  We will be going over the scholarship in the name of Pam Graver-Koenig, a very close friend of mine who lost her battle with breast cancer this year.
